Maggie Grace is an American actor who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her most famous roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character in ABC's Lost series, and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Her birthplace was Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of school when her parents divorced to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. They were struggling to make ends meet when she got her first acting role as Rachel's Room's lead character. The role she played as Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the T.V. film Murder In Greenwich in 2002 earned her nominations for a Young Artist Award. In 2004, Grace was cast as Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost where she acted as a principal actor for the first two seasons winning an award called the Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the cast of the ensemble. Grace decided to leave the show to pursue a acting career. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog earlier in the year 2005. The actress was on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) and also starred alongside Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in the year 2008. In 2008, she played the same role in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both 2012). Grace returned to Shannon's character in Lost for two additional episodes, which included the final episode of the series. The year 2009 was the time she was recognized as the Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her portrayal of a single mother in Crazy Heart. In the following years, she was in comedies and dramas, including Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012 Apart from her character as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she was also seen as a character in White House Down (2013) as well as Frank (2014).
